Action: Defined service levels, pricing, and oversight. Determined staff responsibility, experience, and availability. Set performance guarantees and review procedures.

Results: Negotiated a scalable outsource contract with competitive pricing and performance management.

 

India Outsource Contract - Implementation
Nike

Role: Implement India outsourcing for Nike Legacy Finance.

Challenge: Assure that risk decreases and customer service improves due to outsourcing.

Action: Replaced Legacy Finance development with India outsourcing. Selected and contracted a vendor. Prioritized, assigned projects, resourced, and resolved risk.

Results: Team training in methodologies and best practices, steady and safe vendor progress, and staff transition to emerging development teams.

 

USA Supply Chain Gap Analysis
Nike

Role: Senior Project Manager for the ‘Nike USA Supply Chain Gap Analysis’. 

Challenge: Given two months to discover every process in the world under-supported in the USA conversion and to manage the expectations of the people responsible for them.

Action: Presented the USA Supply Chain Conversion Gap Analysis to top technology management and business leaders. Documented scope, tradeoff, risks, and objectives. Captured and verified current data requirements and the conversion effort. Reported conversion status and business units with unmet requirements.

Results: Set direction for the final six months of the USA supply chain conversion.

 

Global Y2K Conversion
Nike

Role: Nike Y2K Core Team Program Manager and Global Finance Program Manager.

Challenge: Create a high degree of certainty that every Nike operation would process ‘century’ correctly.

Action: Represented Audit and Legal. Met all project teams, providing direction, internal resources, and budget support. Drafted the Y2K test lab process. Accountability: $3M Finance, $7M Global.

Results: Flawless Y2K execution.
